While Derrick, my yard guy, spent most of the day raking & hauling the mountains of leaves from our numerous oak trees, I worked on the jet boat. I needed to get it ship-shape for our trip to the Keys next week.
We were surprised by both Joey & Renee with our grandson Wyatt; and Donna & Joey with two more grandkids, Riley & Lanie. Also, our friends from Canada, Croft & Norma returned from their trip to the Keys.
What started as a quite day at home, turned into an enjoyable time with family and friends. I even completed most of the work needed to be accomplished on the boat.
Tomorrow, Croft & I are planning to take the jet boat to one of our lakes and put it through it's paces to be sure everything is tuned to perfection. If there is a problem, I would rather find it now rather than get to the Keys and have trouble. Plus, it's a good excuse to get out on the water.
We had a great time in the Keys! Next time though we will spend at least a couple of nights in Key West. The night life would be a lot of fun!
