After coffee on the patio this morning, we left Silver Palms for our two hour trip back home in Lakeland. Unlike yesterday, it was a beautiful day with clear skies and plenty of sunshine. We had a relaxing trip home through central Florida.... Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Wales and Bartow. I love to travel the non-interstate routes when time is not a factor. We see the country and towns along the way rather than counting the mile markers on the interstates and turnpikes.
After carrying a few essentials from the motor home into the house, we went to our local Golden Corral for dinner. We just did not feel like cooking, plus I'm not sure we could have found anything to prepare if we had wanted to. For $23.00 we both enjoyed a hearty and healthy meal with no dishes to wash. You can't beat their fresh vegetables.
